2027 Poster Contest

​The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival® Poster Committee, part of the Kiwanis Club of Saugerties, is excited to announce the 2027 Poster Contest.

 

This year, we are opening the contest to everyone.

 

Artists are invited to submit a completed, original poster design for consideration as the official 2027 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival® poster.

 

How It Works

 

All submitted poster designs will be reviewed by the Poster Committee. Three finalists will be selected.

 

Each finalist will receive a $100 stipend.

 

The three finalist designs will be displayed at the 2026 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival®, where festival attendees will vote to select the winning design for 2027.

 

The artist receiving the most votes will be awarded an additional $500 stipend.

 

The winning design will be used for official 2027 Hudson Valley Garlic Festival® publicity, including print materials, digital promotion, merchandise, and festival apparel.

 

Who Can Enter

 

Anyone may submit a design. You do not need to be a professional artist or a resident of Saugerties.

 

We encourage creativity, originality, and bold interpretation of the spirit of the Hudson Valley Garlic Festival®.

 

Design Guidelines

 

• Submit a completed poster design, not samples of previous work.

• The 2027 festival dates are not yet finalized. You may either leave the dates off your design or include placeholder text such as “September 25 & 26, 2027.”

• Artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.

 

Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated artwork will not be accepted. We are looking for original, handmade work. A computer may be used for layout and typography, but the core artwork must be created by the artist.
